Carlos joined Matthews West in 2016 as the Director of Development for the Squamish office where he is responsible for master planning, development applications, liaising with the District of Squamish, coordinating consultant teams and project marketing and leasing.

Carlos holds degrees in Environmental Geography and Education as well as a Masters of Resource Management (Planning) from Simon Fraser University.  He is a registered Professional Planner with the Canadian Institute of Planners and the Planning Institute of British Columbia.

Carlos has served as Director on the Squamish Chamber of Commerce, is the former Chair of the District of Squamish’s Advisory Design Panel, has held voluntary advisory roles in Squamish and Whistler and is a proud member of the Squamish Rotary Club.
