Cara has been serving as Matthews Southwest’s In-House Legal Counsel since 2020.

Cara was previously with the Dallas Stars in the role of Legal Counsel. With the Stars, she handled a multitude of legal responsibilities ranging from policy and procedures, establishing numerous new partnerships, working with and managing outside law firms, working with contracts related to real estate purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements, employment and separation agreements, insurance claims and several other areas.

Cara received her Juris Doctor from the SMU Dedman School of Law in 2016.
